Matches

The flames of madness,
how terribly inviting.
Too hot to stand,
and yet so inspiring.
To jump or to burn,
To submit to fire.
Sirens keep wailing,
Like the screaming in my head.
In reality no one's there.
Delusions are not friends.
People scream in terror,
as ashes are raining down.
They hide from their fear,
and push the blame around.

But I welcome this chaos,
and offer it my time.
For flames you can outrun,
but you can't escape your mind.
